Anderson Animal Clinic

Appointment Policies

Examination by appointment only. Emergency cases  will be seen when a veterinarian is available.  For the best interest of the animal emergencies may be referred to an Emergency Animal Clinic.

Surgery:

Previous to making a surgery appointment animals should be seen by the doctor for a physical examination.  During this time owners should visit with the doctor and have their questions about the surgery answered. Animals having surgery should have not eaten for 12 hours before surgery. Animals are "checked in" for surgery between 8 and 9 AM.   Clients will "check in" their pets and fill out paperwork.  This is not when the surgery will start.  Animals need to be prepared for surgery. In many cases the "drop off" time and surgery start time are not the same. Animals coming into the clinic for surgery must be current on their vaccinations.  Vaccinations need to have been done by a licensed veterinarian.  Owners will be instructed when to call for surgery release time.  Most animals will be released the same day.  However, some surgeries require an overnight stay.
